Italy is situated in the mediterranean part of Europe, with France at the west, Switzerland and Austria at the north and Slovenia at the East.

The rest is covered by the Mediterranean Sea.At the west coast by Thyrrenian Sea where you find Sardinia and Sicily and at the east the Adriatic Sea and at the south east the Ionian Sea.

In the north we find the Alps and the Dolomites, where the destinations are for the Ski resorts, although less known in Abruzzo in the Apennines you also find some areas to find a view ski resorts.

Mountains here are Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn.

Going to the south you find the Apennines with the mountain Gran Sasso.

Further down we find Vesuvio and the Mount Etna. Every region has its own extraordinary and unique character.

Activities in the north you can do mountain climbing, walking, mountain biking, skiing, crosscountry skiing,and relaxing at the lakes namely, Lago Maggiore, Como Lake, Garda Lake, Lago d'Iseo, and of course the Spas.

More to the South you can relax at the beaches at the seaside resorts and every else at the Spa resorts. Mountainbiking, tracking by foot and horse in combination with the excellent food and wine are widely available.
